For a recent Maker Faire, I decided to make about 10 shirts for my group. I really wanted to get as close to a screen printed feel as I could get. After a bit of research, I decided to give Siser EasyWeed Stretch Matte HTV a try and I was not disappointed! It was incredibly easy to work with and looked great. Running your fingers over the design, you can barely feel the vinyl.
Here are the settings I used:
Cricut Settings
I’m still tweaking my cutting settings, but so far this is the best I have come up with:
Model: Cricut Maker
Tool: Fine-Point Blade
Pressure: 200
Heat Press
Heat Press Temperature: 320° F
Time: 20 sec
I pre-heated the shirt for about 8-10 seconds before applying the vinyl.
Once the vinyl in the right location, I placed the Teflon sheet on top then pressed for 20 seconds. I peeled the plastic off the vinyl while still hot.
